Please note that these books have been fully disassembled, re-sewn by hand on five cords, and traditionally rebound, not merely re-covered.
Each piece is crafted entirely by hand over many days, through a series of meticulous stages. Created in limited quantities, every set remains a singular object.
This collection includes The Lord of the Rings trilogy (The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers, and The Return of the King), together with The Hobbit, all illustrated by Alan Lee.
Each book is hand-sewn and bound in richly hand-dyed Italian leather. The boards and spines are finished with blind tooling, while the title and author’s name are individually gilded in 24K gold on the spine.
Each book includes leather bookmarks. The hand-marbled endpapers and decorated edges ensure that every copy is unique, reflecting my commitment to creating books that are exclusive and one of a kind.
All processes are performed entirely by hand, without the use of machines, in respect for traditional craftsmanship and the environment.
Bookbinding is a time-intensive craft, but it allows me to place a piece of my soul into every book I create.
