This journal is bound with aged looking brownish leather. On the center plate, I did 24K gold leaves tooling the Chnoubis symbol. On the spine I also did 24K gold leaves tooling to follow 1700 Naple's binding style. The edges are decorated. I bound my journal with hand dyed leather, handmade marbled endpaper and 95gr blank paper which is great not only for fountain pens (it doesn't bleed through) but also for graphite and watercolor. The color of paper is between light cream and white. Pages are hand sewed and I applied leather bookmark for harmony and beauty.
Please note this journal is not a moleskine that it bends on itself. This journal has a structure, it is sewn on five cords, it has a rounded and hammered back. This journal opens well and is easy to write.

Great shipping. The paper has a vintage quality but it's perfect for fountain pen ink. I used Herbin shogun ink and Diamine oxblood. There was no feathering, bleeding or ghosting. Great paper!
